26/Nov/09: Job Fair Postponed. The job fair scheduled for December is postponed to February 2010 by the District Collector. Those who registered need not register again during February.

TIRUNELVELI: Collector M. Jayaraman convened the preliminary meeting for the mega job fair to be conducted on December 12 and 13 this year for the benefit of engineering, arts and science graduates, diploma and ITI trade-holders. While Mr. Jayaraman will be the chairman of the organising committee, Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Tirunelveli, and Assistant Director (Employment) will act as the coordinators of the programme. The Collector, who has donned the role of the district’s chief placement officer, urged the educational institutions to study the present market trend and demand and prepare their students accordingly so that the percentage of the students getting employment in this job fair would be quite attractive.
